School Social Worker - LCSW (Upper School)

Overview:
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education and Program Administrator, the School Social Worker provides direct and indirect social work services to students experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioral problems that interfere with their performance in school, and facilitates communication among school, home and community providers.
Qualifications:
o RI Certification as a School Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) eligible to attain RI /School Social Worker Certification o Experience delivering services in programs servicing students with behavioral/social/ mental health needs o Experience serving as a member of a clinical team o Experience in providing consultation regarding social/emotional/behavioral issues to school personal working with students with a variety of disabilitiesDuties and
Responsibilities:
o Provides school social work services to students who are at-risk for school failure and/or are demonstrating social/emotional/behavioral problems within the school setting.
o Provides direct and indirect school social work services as a related service in support of special education.
o Acts as a liaison between the home, school and community providers to access, mobilize and coordinate services.
o Additional duties as directed by the Director of Special Education, Program Administrator and/or Executive Director.
Abilities/Skillset:
o Essential knowledge and specialized subject knowledge required to perform the essential functions of the job:
o Working knowledge of the principals, practices and ethical standards of School Social Work; the relevant state and federal laws, rules and regulations; and applicable agency policies.
o Current knowledge of the community resources and support systems available to assist students and their families.
o Ability to deal effectively and appropriately with students, parents and other educational professionals regarding student concerns and problems.
o Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
o Ability to consult with school personnel in developing and implementing effective social and behavioral interventions for students.
o Ability to travel between and among school sites throughout the West Bay Collaborative, sending districts and to students' homes, as necessary.
o Ability to be flexible and prioritize activities to include communicating and meeting with parents, students, and agency staff outside of the typical work day if needed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
